Operator - Products (Splitter)

Location: Galena Park, Texas, United States; onsite. The role requires 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, overtime, call-outs, weekends, and holidays.

Pay is commensurate with experience and skill set.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor crude condensate splitter units to maintain safe, reliable, efficient operations and production quality.
• Adjust process parameters and use SCADA and Yokogawa DCS systems to monitor controls, respond to alarms, and troubleshoot issues.
• Record temperature, pressure, flow, composition, incidents, maintenance activities, and other operational data.
• Inspect equipment, identify malfunctions or leaks, and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
• Respond to abnormal operating conditions and emergencies while following PSM, EHS, OSHA, and site procedures.
• Coordinate with operators, shift crew leaders, supervisors, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure effective shift handoffs and incident investigations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree in Process Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Three or more years of refinery or petrochemical operations experience, ideally with crude condensate splitter units or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations; emergency response certification and HAZWOPER training are preferred.
• Proficiency with DCS/SCADA control systems, process data analysis, troubleshooting, chemical processing concepts, and Truck Management Systems TMS 5/6/7.
• Valid state driver's license, insurability, ability to work at heights and outdoors in all weather, and ability to stand, walk, climb, and use hand tools for extended periods.
• Must meet physical, respiratory, medical, and SCBA fitness requirements; complete PSM operator training, performance evaluations, and site-specific knowledge tests. Good oral and written English communication is required.
