Field IT Support Technician

Location: Onsite in Vacaville, California, with travel to customer sites; paid training in College Station, Texas

Salary: $60,000 per year

What you will do

• Install and maintain computers, application servers, printers, scanners, cabling, switches, routers, fiber converters, and specialized key-control equipment.
• Travel to assigned customer sites using a company vehicle.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts.
• Document installation and maintenance work in the service tracking system.
• Provide onsite technical and customer support within the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Technical associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of technical experience in hardware or networking.
• Ability to work onsite, travel to customer locations, lift at least 50 pounds consistently, and stay overnight in hotels for up to 25% of travel.
• Ability to attend paid hands-on training in College Station, Texas.
• Valid driver’s license with fewer than two moving violations in the past three years and no OVI, DUI, or DWI violations in the past five years.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
