AI Engineering Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in North Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $84,500–$162,000 per year, plus eligibility for short-term incentive programs

What you will do

• Scale the Helix agentic statistical programming platform across therapeutic areas and study designs.
• Build production-grade agent platforms, AI co-pilots, code generation harnesses, evaluation frameworks, and agentic research pipelines.
• Partner with statisticians, statistical programmers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop reusable AI capabilities.
• Evaluate foundation models, agent architectures, and AI workflows based on reliability, security, cost, and business impact.
• Operate and improve production AI solutions, optimizing quality, latency, governance, cost efficiency, and user outcomes.
• Develop data products, architectures, pipelines, and automated quality-control processes for clinical development analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science, computer science, or an equivalent field.
• At least 4 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with a master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
• At least 1 year of experience building production-grade AI solutions with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or Strands Agents.
• Experience with a general-purpose programming language, including Python, R, Java, Scala, C, C++, C#, Swift, Objective-C, or JavaScript.
• End-to-end data experience, including querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in North Chicago, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Strong programming experience in both Python and R.
• Experience with the Amazon Web Services ecosystem.
• Experience publishing analytics output in R Shiny or Plotly Dash.
