TL;DR
Automation & AI Engineer (ITSM/AI): Designing and implementing intelligent automation solutions for IT operations, service management, observability, asset management, and employee support with an accent on AI-assisted workflows, enterprise integrations, and ITSM modernization. Focus on building self-healing and self-service capabilities, automating incident and request workflows, and enabling predictive operations through AIOps and observability.
Location: Remote from the United States, working EST hours

What you will do
- Define and execute the ITSM automation roadmap, identify high-volume manual processes, and maintain a prioritized automation backlog.
- Design AI-assisted workflows for incident triage, knowledge retrieval, ticket summarization, root cause analysis, change risk assessment, self-service support, and virtual agents.
- Build ITSM workflows for approvals, ticket routing, service fulfillment, onboarding and offboarding, service catalogs, and operational runbooks.
- Develop REST API, webhook, middleware, and event-driven integrations across ITSM, cloud, observability, identity, security, endpoint, and business application platforms.
- Enable AIOps capabilities through automated incident creation, enrichment, routing, escalation, remediation, predictive operations, and self-healing workflows.
- Develop KPI dashboards and automation effectiveness metrics covering time savings, ticket reduction, MTTR, SLA compliance, and employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, software development, DevOps, IT operations, or ITSM engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar workflow automation platforms.
- Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems and SaaS platforms, with knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes.
- Ability to meet security, audit, governance, privacy, compliance, documentation, testing, and operational runbook requirements.
Nice to have
- ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or CIS; Microsoft Power Platform; or Azure AI Engineer certification.
- Experience with AI-driven service platforms, Copilot Studio, observability tooling, identity platforms, CMDB, and IT asset management.
- Experience with enterprise AI implementation and governance.
