What you will do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC milling centers, lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Read blueprints and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, tooling, feeds, speeds, cutting depths, and operation sequences.
- Select, position, and secure tools, workpieces, fixtures, and jaws.
- Edit and update CNC programs in collaboration with programmers and engineering to support continuous improvement.
- Observe machine operation, establish startup dimensions, and deburr parts with bench tools.
- Verify machined workpieces against specifications using calibrated gauges.
Requirements
- Six months to one year of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Work onsite in Piqua, Ohio.
