Sr. Analyst, Retail Data Strategy (Snowflake)

Location: hirify.global Midtown Office, Richmond, Virginia; onsite 4 days per week. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual salary: $88,400–$132,600, with possible bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Partner with technology, product, strategy, and business teams to identify analytical questions and define clear data requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain governed Snowflake data models, views, and tables.
• Translate business definitions into documented SQL transformations and trusted metric definitions.
• Monitor data transformation performance and data quality, resolving issues before they affect reporting.
• Build and optimize Power BI reporting infrastructure, including semantic layers and data source integrations.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI-powered analytical tools to accelerate insight delivery.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in an analytical or strategic role, such as Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex transformations, performance tuning, and business logic implementation.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD concepts, and job scheduling or orchestration tools.
• Proficiency with enterprise BI tools and data source integration; Power BI, Report Builder, or Tableau experience is preferred.
• Ability to translate between technical and business audiences, with strong documentation skills.
• Track record of cross-functional collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.
• Experience designing dimensional or relational data models and implementing data quality monitoring.
• Familiarity with data governance and self-service BI enablement.
• Background in retail or similarly complex data environments.
