Operations Leader (Financial Services)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan; employees in this role work in the office five days per week.

What you will do

• Manage branch operational processes, resources, revenue objectives, client acquisition targets, and efficiency initiatives.
• Support advisors with financial plans, investment research, trades, transactions, client meetings, and new business paperwork.
• Build and analyze branch reports and performance metrics, review expenses and P&L, manage budgets, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coordinate compliance support and training with the Registered Principal, while leading real estate and facilities initiatives.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and manage the performance of branch staff; support hiring, staffing allocation, and regular one-to-one meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Successful supervisory experience with knowledge of HR policies and labor laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time management, analytical, mathematical, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to motivate employees, work with multiple organizational levels, operate independently, and use standard business software.
• Must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Series 7 license or ability to obtain it within 150 days.
• State securities agent registration, S3 or S66, or ability to obtain it within 150 days.
