CNC Mill Machinist (Haas)

Location: Romulus, Michigan, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $22–$30 per hour

hirify.global is recruiting for a manufacturing client producing precision machined components.

What you will do

• Set up, program, and operate 3-axis CNC vertical milling machines, preferably Haas machines.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications.
• Write and edit G-code and select tooling, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.
• Machine raw materials into finished components while maintaining required tolerances.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Perform in-process quality checks, adjust machines or programs, and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Requirements

• Experience as a CNC Mill Machinist, CNC Setup Machinist, CNC Programmer, or CNC Operator with setup experience.
• Strong experience with 3-axis vertical CNC milling machines and knowledge of G-code programming and editing.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and experience machining various materials.
• Basic machinist hand tools are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Haas CNC machines.
• Experience with tool probing and part probing.
• Familiarity with Inventor CAM or AutoCAD.
