Machinist I - Weekday Night (CNC)

Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States; on-site. Weekday night shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 pm–3:00 am.

Salary: $26–$30 per hour. External applicants may be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC lathe machines while meeting precise manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, technical drawings, and verbal instructions using applicable machining tools.
• Inspect parts with measuring instruments and make decisions regarding part quality.
• Maintain jobs, material inventory, machines, and general shop equipment.
• Support production by troubleshooting chronic issues, improving methods, and completing operator preventive maintenance during the shift.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver parts on time and meet quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating and setting up CNC milling or CNC lathe machines, with some programming knowledge preferred.
• Machining experience or related education in a prototype manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Mastercam, and CAD/CAM.
• Ability to read blueprints, use protractors, calipers, and height gauges, and interpret written and statistical data.
• Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.
