Finance Director, Category Finance

Location: Chicago/Aon Center, United States

Salary: $190,300–$237,900 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead a finance team providing financial analysis and trusted business partnership to the Business Unit CFO, President, and Zone team.
• Drive business-unit planning and forecasting, including monthly planning routines, major forecasts, the Strategic Plan, and the Annual Operating Plan.
• Own analysis of business results, financial targets, trade operations and risks, efficiencies, innovation, productivity, and capital expenditure.
• Develop strategic plans, financial models, analytics, management summaries, and presentations.
• Implement process improvements and connect business-unit work with enterprise-wide initiatives and best practices.
• Manage end-to-end P&L analysis to support effective decision-making and business performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in category finance, corporate FP&A, or business-unit finance.
• Strong analytical skills, broad business acumen, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Advanced Excel skills, systems agility, and a strong technical and systems orientation.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, make key decisions, and work effectively under pressure.
• Collaborative leadership skills with the ability to influence management without direct authority.
