Staff SW Dev Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; onsite role

What you will do

• Develop new FPGA solutions for customers.
• Model complex FPGA device data and solve hardware-software modeling challenges.
• Develop and maintain customer-facing tools, including BitGen, IBIS, SSN, and Power Calculator.
• Build, validate, and test solutions in software and RTL simulation environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Expert hands-on experience with C++ and object-oriented design principles.
• Knowledge of Verilog or VHDL and experience running and debugging simulations with ModelSim or VCS.
• Strong Python scripting experience, database modeling knowledge, and experience standardizing upstream input collateral.
• Successful background and reference checks and proof of the right to work in Malaysia are required.
