Principal Data Center Solutions Architect (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Ashburn, Virginia; New York, New York; Raleigh, North Carolina; Miami, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; and Atlanta, Georgia. Travel up to 40% is required.

Salary: $139,693–$244,463 annually.

What you will do

• Advise customers on data center power, cooling, physical infrastructure, resiliency, efficiency, and capacity.
• Develop solutions involving AC/DC power systems, UPS infrastructure, generators, switchgear, PDUs, busway, containment, cabinets, and related technologies.
• Conduct data center assessments, site surveys, infrastructure evaluations, and operational readiness reviews.
• Translate business objectives and operational requirements into infrastructure recommendations, roadmaps, technical documentation, statements of work, bills of material, and proposals.
• Support RFPs, technical evaluations, design reviews, customer presentations, workshops, and executive briefings.
• Partner with sales, delivery teams, manufacturers, consultants, and project stakeholders during solution validation, deployment planning, and execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, commissioning, design, infrastructure deployment, or mission-critical environments.
• Expertise in electrical infrastructure, including AC/DC power distribution, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, switchgear, and critical power technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, thermal management, airflow optimization, and cooling capacity planning.
• Experience evaluating resiliency, redundancy models, uptime requirements, operational risk, scalability, and physical layer infrastructure.
• Associate degree or equivalent relevant industry experience required; a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, consulting, technical sales, and solution development skills; proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
