Staff Applications Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Penang, Malaysia. Successful proof of the right to work in Malaysia is required.

What you will do

• Support high-speed IPs and FPGA designs for vendors and customers.
• Bridge customer and factory engineering relationships and resolve technical hurdles.
• Design and execute solutions for low-power, high-reliability programmable logic products.
• Participate in product development from architecture and specification through documentation, market release, and customer support.
• Support FPGA and firmware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience.
• Hands-on FPGA and/or firmware bring-up and debugging experience.
• Expertise in FPGA design flows and Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience delivering revenue-generating hardware products.
• Experience with timing closure, PLL/DLLs, physical interface strategies, and signal integrity.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience in image and video processing, memory standards, or high-speed interfaces.
• Experience with SSTL, HSTL, LVSTL, and HSUL physical interface standards.
• Experience in RTL development and verification.
