PN Nursing Instructor - Per Diem Clinicals (Nursing Education)

What you will do

• Provide skills lab and clinical instruction according to the nursing curriculum and faculty expertise.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities.
• Observe, instruct, evaluate, and provide timely feedback on student performance.
• Maintain attendance records, skills check-off forms, clinical documentation, and program data.
• Submit required reports, attend faculty meetings, and participate in nursing program committees.
• Support student communication through office hours and electronic communication, and use online learning activities where appropriate.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state where teaching takes place.
• At least four years of registered nursing experience, including one year of direct patient care experience within the last five years.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, including nursing education or administration coursework and academic preparation for the teaching subject.
• Ability to meet applicable Board of Nursing faculty requirements and mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Current clinical knowledge, strong verbal and written communication skills, current immunizations, and Basic Life Support Certification.
• ATI certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire; certification is provided by Unitek.

Nice to have

• One year of nursing-course teaching experience or completion of a nursing teaching course.
• Expertise in mental health, medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, pediatrics, labor and delivery, community health, or critical care.
