Intern - Biotechnologist (Gene)

What you will do

• Synthesize target genes according to departmental procedures and customer requirements.
• Perform gene synthesis, vector construction, gene mutation, plasmid extraction, sequencing, PCR, qPCR, reagent preparation, and quality inspection.
• Conduct molecular biology experiments including ligation, transformation, bacterial inspection, and sequence analysis.
• Record and analyze experimental data, evaluate results, and provide basic analysis of unfinished experiments during handovers.
• Follow production safety regulations and product SOPs while operating experiments independently.
• Report production issues promptly and work with the team to resolve them.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Solid foundation in molecular biology and cell biology, with strong experimental skills.
• Knowledge of DNA isolation and manipulation, primer design, plasmid design, PCR, restriction digestion, homologous recombination, transformation, plasmid isolation, and sequence analysis.
• Knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing is preferred.
• Resilience, a strong sense of achievement, and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Availability for 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with 2 rest days that may fall outside weekends.
