Filmmaker/Content Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in New York City. Candidates must reside in New York or be able to commute to the New York City office at least three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. Periodic travel to agency visits, offsites, DC trips, and federal sites is required.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and run hirify.global Studio, setting the creative direction and visual identity for customers, candidates, and investors.
• Produce cinematic customer films documenting technology deployments in the field.
• Shoot documentary-style behind-the-scenes footage of teams collaborating with government agencies and customers.
• Run recurring recruiting film series covering team events, offsites, culture, and the company mission.
• Produce founder pieces and launch content connected to federal contracts and deployments.
• Own lean productions end-to-end, including filming, editing, delivery, and directing contractors on larger shoots.

Requirements

• Experience producing and directing video independently or with a small crew from concept through final edit.
• Demonstrated visual storytelling perspective and a portfolio covering cinematic, documentary-style, customer-facing, recruiting, and executive content.
• Experience working directly with founders to shape company storytelling without a pre-defined brief.
• Experience briefing and directing contractors while maintaining creative and production standards.
• Good judgment in determining when to shoot solo and when to hire a larger crew.
• Willingness to travel periodically and work on-site, including at federal sites.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tooling for pre-visualization, assembly, and cleanup.
• Experience building an in-house creative studio or content function from scratch.
• Motion design and graphic design experience in video contexts.
• Experience filming in sensitive, access-limited, or bureaucratic environments such as government, healthcare, or defense.
• Comfort appearing on camera for lighter, scrappier content and potential to lead an in-house production and editing team.
