Social Video Producer (AI)

Location: On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, with in-person collaboration for at least the first six months; remote applicants are not considered. Candidates must be based in the area or willing to relocate.

Annual salary: $140,000–$155,000 USD, with higher compensation possible for exceptional candidates.

What you will do

• Own video production from brainstorming and shooting through post-production and publication.
• Produce and edit short-form AI videos for TikTok and Instagram.
• Develop posting and engagement strategies covering content, timing, and formats.
• Create repeatable video formats that can be sustained week over week.
• Collaborate with researchers and the media program lead to make technical findings accessible and engaging for a general audience.

Requirements

• Professional experience producing informational or news content for a general audience.
• Excellent video production and editing skills demonstrated through a short-form portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of TikTok and Instagram formats, timing, and engagement drivers.
• Good judgment and opinions on effective social video formats.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate, and able to work on-site with the team.
• Professional English proficiency; all application materials must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI and the AI ecosystem.
• Experience covering technical or scientific topics.
• Experience running accounts on X, Substack, and LinkedIn in addition to Instagram and TikTok.
