Application Engineer (Electrical)

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, United States; at least four days per week at the hirify.global Business Center. Travel may include up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Represent end-user technical needs within the division and support product adoption.
• Use product performance, competitive landscape, and standards-compliance knowledge to guide application development.
• Build relationships with internal and external engineers and scientists to prioritize application development activities.
• Support new product launches by validating customer needs, standards compliance, and product performance.
• Create technical collateral and lead customer technical discussions, written communication, presentations, and field training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience with medium-voltage cable accessories, cable theory, or application engineering is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of applicable IEEE and IEC standards is beneficial.
• Experience with Java, Python, C++, or other programming languages is beneficial.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
