Full Stack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, United States

Salary: $185,000–$200,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Build and ship end-to-end features in a Laravel application, from database schemas and APIs to Vue.js interfaces.
• Write clean, tested, and documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services with thoughtful error handling, retries, and edge-case management.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and QA to clarify requirements, plan work, and release features.
• Debug issues across the stack, including performance and data-integrity problems.
• Improve tooling, tests, and development workflows.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Laravel or another modern MVC framework, with genuine interest in Laravel.
• Strong PHP fundamentals and object-oriented design skills.
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, React, or a similar framework, plus HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Practical SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
• Git-based workflow experience, code review participation, and clear written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Automated testing experience with Playwright or a similar tool.
• Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform.
• Experience with queues, background jobs, or event-driven workflows.
• Interest in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs or AI-assisted features.
