Fullstack Engineer

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid with at least three days per week in the San Francisco office. The team requires at least six hours of overlap with PST, from 8 am to 2 pm PST.

Base salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, plus potential equity participation.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable web applications, APIs, and backend services used by TRM customers.
• Develop and maintain public APIs within the API Product suite.
• Build shared engineering services and functionality that support internal business units.
• Translate functional visions and customer needs into product roadmaps with clear outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver features end to end.
• Participate in a weekly sprint schedule and an on-call rotation approximately once every 4–6 weeks.

Requirements

• Experience designing and building scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services.
• Understanding of relational databases such as Postgres and analytical databases.
• Ability to connect customer pain points with technical and product requirements.
• Strong problem-structuring, prioritization, ownership, initiative, and adaptability.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office at least three days per week and maintain PST overlap from 8 am to 2 pm.

Nice to have

• Prior Node.js experience is useful but not required; the backend is built with Node.js and the language can be learned on the job.
