Software Engineer 3 (Java)

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, test, integrate, document, and deploy software supporting target discovery and mission analytics.
• Partner with analysts, mission stakeholders, and developers to translate analytic needs and manual tradecraft into automated workflows.
• Build prototypes and evaluate existing analytics for applicability, performance, strengths, and limitations.
• Integrate complementary analytic techniques into approved cloud architectures and enterprise development environments.
• Support the full lifecycle of analytic capabilities from prototyping through operational deployment, sustainment, and continued evolution.
• Adapt solutions to changing mission priorities and document analytic tradecraft.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph is expected.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science plus 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Production software development expertise in Java, including design, testing, debugging, integration, and maintenance of complex applications.
• Experience translating mission or user needs into technical solutions and collaborating with analysts, developers, and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with reusable solutions, configuration management, unit and integration testing, and peer design and code reviews.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of customer corporate tools and data repositories.
• Experience with Maven, Query Time Analytics, JavaScript, DataXplorer, or geolocation data.
