Senior Platform Engineer, Product Facing Systems (Remote) (Azure/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote across the United States; Columbus, Ohio is listed as the role location. The position follows a flexible work model, including work-from-anywhere days and weeks.

Salary: $121,000–$147,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize enterprise platform services and applications across multiple environments.
• Operate Azure Kubernetes Service and Oracle Kubernetes Engine, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, resource management, and application onboarding.
• Design Azure platform architecture covering landing zones, management groups, subscriptions, networking, governance, security, and access controls.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Terraform, and related tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, certificate renewals, and operational workflows while improving reliability, scalability, observability, and performance.
• Support application teams, troubleshoot production issues, participate in architecture reviews and Agile delivery, document platform patterns, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience maintaining cloud-based technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on Azure experience across cloud infrastructure, migrations, governance, networking, and security.
• Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or Bicep, and application deployment automation.
• Strong knowledge of platform reliability, scalability, observability, monitoring, access controls, networking, and enterprise operational practices.
• Familiarity with Java APIs including Spring Boot and Kafka, React-based UIs, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, Agile delivery, profiling, and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage technical risks and mentor teammates.

• Experience leveraging AI and automation tools in engineering practices.
