Mechanical Engineer 1

Location: Rolling Meadows, Illinois, United States; onsite role with customer and vendor travel as required

What you will do

• Develop and review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contracts, and specifications.
• Design mechanical products using CAD and CAE tools, with 3D CAD preferred.
• Evaluate design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
• Conduct product testing and create models and prototypes.
• Participate in product development, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test issues.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, product teams, sales personnel, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• 1–2 or more years of related experience.
• Knowledge of components used in electrical transfer.
• Knowledge and proficiency with CAD or an equivalent program; 3D experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel and perform occasional physical duties, including lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Self-learning ability, task orientation, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
