Patient Account Specialist (Revenue Cycle)

Salary: $23.45–$34.00 per hour, depending on experience

Cancer Care Northwest is an integrated cancer center serving the Inland Northwest with diagnostic, treatment, and supportive care for cancer and blood-related diseases.

What you will do

• Audit patient accounts, review aging, identify discrepancies, and correct billing errors.
• Follow up with patients and insurance companies on delinquent accounts, unpaid claims, denials, and reimbursement issues.
• Set up and monitor payment arrangements and resolve patient billing questions and complaints.
• Review EOBs, credit balances, refunds, write-offs, and claim resubmissions.
• Process insurance and patient correspondence, including denial follow-up within 48 hours and claim resubmissions within 72 hours.
• Coordinate with collection agencies and maintain confidentiality of patient financial information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in a medical business office setting.
• Experience with insurance processing and balancing responsibilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial matters and communicate professionally with patients and insurance companies.
• Ability to sit regularly and occasionally stand, walk, bend, lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
