What you will do

• Execute and analyze fermentation experiments using mini, benchtop, and pilot-scale bioreactors.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated bioprocess equipment, including bioreactors, TFF systems, and homogenizers.
• Perform downstream processing such as lysis, clarification, recovery, and routine sample handling.
• Maintain complete experimental documentation and process data according to organizational standards.
• Escalate complex equipment and process issues while collaborating with senior team members.
• Support laboratory operations through equipment upkeep, supply stocking, safety activities, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and general bioprocess controls.
• Experience with biomass measurement, metabolite analysis, and off-gas analysis technologies.
• Strong organizational, documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to rigorous safety, quality, compliance, and operational standards.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with ambr250, bench-scale, or pilot-scale bioreactors.
• Familiarity with downstream unit operations and basic protein purification.
• Experience with design of experiments, data analysis, and data visualization.
• Experience supporting process scale-up or scale-down activities.
• Experience in regulated environments such as cGMP biomanufacturing.
