Senior Scientist (Bioprocessing)

Location: Lebanon, NH, United States

Salary: $115,000–$145,000 per year, plus eligibility for variable cash compensation and equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize affinity chromatography-based purification processes for proteins, enzymes, vaccines, VLPs, gene therapy vectors, and other biopharmaceutical modalities.
• Execute high-throughput chromatographic screening and apply Design of Experiments methodologies to accelerate process development.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex datasets to support technical decisions and partner adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate with chemistry, analytics, and commercial teams to deliver integrated purification solutions.
• Contribute to multiple development programs while maintaining timely execution and high-quality scientific output.
• Engage with external biopharma partners as a technical expert and scientific collaborator.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in downstream processing and protein purification, including FPLC.
• Experience with multiple biopharmaceutical modalities and chromatography method development, including automated or high-throughput systems.
• Strong proficiency with Design of Experiments for process optimization.
• Working knowledge of analytical techniques covering purity and impurity analysis, potency, and stability assays.
• Scientific breadth across separations, protein chemistry, and bioprocessing, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
