Associate, Trade Operations

Location: Chicago, 110 North Wacker

Base salary: $115,000–$140,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Process, stage, book, allocate, confirm, communicate, and settle fixed income, equity, bank debt, derivative, and privately negotiated transactions.
• Support trade processing across hirify.global credit strategies and Brookfield PSG business lines.
• Coordinate with traders, accounting, reconciliation teams, custodians, counterparties, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and settlement exceptions.
• Lead initiatives to increase straight-through processing, streamline workflows, and improve operational scalability.
• Partner with technology teams to define requirements, design specifications, test functionality, and deploy trade operations system enhancements.
• Maintain procedures and workflow documentation while providing training and knowledge transfer to team members.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant investment operations experience.
• Experience with derivatives, collateral management, regulatory reporting, and multi-asset trade settlement.
• Proficiency with CTM, ALERT, SWIFT, FIX, VCON, trade utilities, matching platforms, and communication protocols.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including root-cause analysis and data-driven process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong communication, judgment, prioritization, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
