Senior Fixed Income Trader

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Onsite role. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $116,100–$156,700 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Execute fixed income trades while minimizing market impact and transaction costs.
• Ensure fair, accurate, timely, and unbiased trade execution and settlement.
• Monitor market conditions, order flow, pricing, and market developments.
• Partner with clients, portfolio managers, and internal stakeholders on investment ideas and strategy implementation.
• Maintain counterparty relationships to support execution and liquidity management.
• Follow trading procedures, risk controls, governance standards, regulations, and securities laws.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in fixed income trading or a closely related trading role.
• Strong knowledge of investments, fixed income instruments, market structures, execution techniques, regulatory requirements, and industry practices.
• Ability to assess market events, exercise sound judgment, and make timely decisions in dynamic market conditions.
• FINRA Securities Licenses 7, 52, and 63 required.
• U.S. work authorization required without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• College or university degree.
• FINRA Series 53 license.
• Experience across multiple fixed income products.
