Security Architect/vCISO

Location: Duluth, Georgia, United States (Hybrid); travel to client sites may be required.

What you will do

• Serve as a virtual CISO and strategic security advisor for a portfolio of client accounts.
• Develop and present security strategies, roadmaps, risk registers, and remediation plans to client executives and boards.
• Lead compliance programs, gap assessments, remediation planning, and audit support across SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST CSF.
• Design and validate secure network, cloud, application, and identity architectures, including Zero Trust implementations.
• Lead threat modeling, security design reviews, incident response advisory, and architecture gap assessments.
• Support pre-sales activities, proposal development, security tooling recommendations, and collaboration with SOC, engineering, and GRC teams.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of information security experience spanning technical architecture and strategic security advisory work.
• Experience as a CISO, vCISO, security consultant, or senior security architect in a client-facing or multi-client environment.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
• Experience designing cloud and enterprise security architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience with IAM, PAM, authentication, authorization, identity governance, and Zero Trust strategies.
• Ability to communicate security risks and recommendations to executives, boards, and non-technical stakeholders while managing multiple client relationships.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CCISO, SABSA, CRISC, or CCSP certification.
• Experience at an MSSP, consulting firm, or vCISO services organization.
• Experience with GRC platforms, FAIR risk quantification, or industry-specific compliance.
• Experience supporting security service-line growth through pre-sales, proposals, and client retention.
