Principal Security Architect

TL;DR

Principal Security Architect (AWS/Terraform): Designing and maturing security architecture across AWS, legacy datacenter assets, and modern cloud workloads with an accent on security-as-code, detection and response, and scalable identity controls. Focus on solving complex hybrid-environment security challenges, prioritizing vulnerability remediation, and translating CISO strategy into practical technical execution.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS security guardrails and architectures.
• Embed security controls into Terraform configurations and CI/CD pipelines.
• Stabilize security operations across legacy datacenter infrastructure and cloud workloads.
• Develop vulnerability management, SIEM and telemetry aggregation, and detection and response capabilities.
• Partner with Platform Engineering, DevOps, IT, and software development teams on identity, access, logging, and secure design standards.
• Lead security incident escalation, threat hunting, emergency response, risk prioritization, and technical planning aligned with CISO goals.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including work as a Senior or Lead Security Engineer or Security Architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• Deep practical experience writing and deploying Terraform in hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services, including GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM, KMS, and organization-level controls.
• Experience with enterprise networking, firewall management, server administration, cloud migrations, SecOps, SIEM architecture, detection and response, and vulnerability management.
• Must be able to work remotely within the United States and attend virtual meetings with the laptop camera on.
