Software Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; hybrid work with occasional travel.

Salary: $94,345.12–$129,724.54 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and testing of complex software components.
• Debug advanced software issues and optimize software performance and quality.
• Define software requirements and specifications with stakeholders.
• Support software integration with hardware systems.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain detailed documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate across disciplines and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in C# and practical knowledge of software engineering principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Current and active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required for employment; non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain the required clearance.

Nice to have

• Aerospace and defense industry experience.
• Knowledge of C, C++, Java, data structures, and software engineering tools for requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, repositories, and automated builds.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or Spiral methodologies.
