Software Engineer II, Synthesis

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $101,500–$188,500 annual, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and support the Genus software product.
• Develop technologies for logic synthesis and physical design.
• Work across areas including timing analysis, RTL compilation, placement, power analysis, routing, extraction, and optimization.
• Contribute to a large R&D software product and collaborate with a distributed development team.

Requirements

• MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Strong programming, software engineering, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively in a distributed team.
• Experience with large software development projects and timing analysis software development is highly recommended.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with UNIX or Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Tcl.
• Experience with multithreaded or distributed programming.
