What you will do

• Present news stories and other content across television, websites, social media, and additional platforms.
• Pitch, research, write, copy edit, and deliver clear, concise, people-driven stories.
• Conduct interviews with newsroom personnel and external sources.
• Respond to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations across assigned shifts.
• Mentor and coach colleagues while collaborating with the management team.
• Represent the station at community events and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field.
• At least five years of news anchoring experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• Exceptional on-air presence, strong news judgment, and broad knowledge of local and national current events.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, multitask, listen effectively, and collaborate on solutions.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.
