Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; onsite, with flexibility to work any shift.

What you will do

• Present news stories and other content across television, websites, social media, and additional platforms.
• Pitch, research, write, copy edit, and deliver clear, concise, high-impact, people-driven stories.
• Conduct interviews with news personnel and external sources while responding to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
• Ensure content meets journalistic integrity and production-quality standards and presents news without bias or prejudice.
• Engage with viewers through social media, public appearances, community events, and promotional activities.
• Work with management and colleagues to mentor, coach, and coordinate news programming and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field.
• Minimum five years of news anchoring experience is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• Exceptional on-air presence, excellent news judgment, and expansive knowledge of local and national current events, history, and newsmakers.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, multitask, listen effectively, and collaborate on solutions.
• Coaching and leadership skills, with the ability to interact well with all colleagues.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
