Station Servicer C-A (Electrical Maintenance)

Location: Childress, Texas, United States; onsite station and field work required

What you will do

• Assist with the construction, maintenance, rebuilding, removal, operation, testing, and inspection of energized and de-energized station facilities.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair transformers, circuit breakers, portable substations, rotating machinery, batteries, pumps, and related station equipment.
• Perform electrical, transformer, oil, and equipment tests using meters, meggers, and other specialized tools.
• Assist with station switching, equipment clearances, grounding, emergency call-outs, and restoration of service.
• Install and maintain conduit, cable, wire, communication systems, safety barriers, signs, and station structures.
• Operate company vehicles, cranes, aerial lifts, generators, pumps, hand tools, and power tools while maintaining records and reports.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance technology, or equivalent qualifying military or technical experience; recent Station Electrician or equivalent utility/contractor experience is also accepted.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver license and meet applicable federal and state vehicle-operation requirements.
• Ability to read prints, drawings, one-line diagrams, instruction manuals, and associated technical documents.
• Must successfully complete required training and the Physical Abilities Test.
• Must be able to work outdoors and at heights, climb ladders and structures, operate heavy equipment, travel considerably, work overtime, and lift up to 65 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Recent experience as a Station Electrician or equivalent utility or contractor employee.
• Technical military experience in aviation or nuclear instrumentation.
• Experience with station switching, communication systems, transformer testing, or NERC-related procedures.
