TL;DR
Service Specialist (H2) (Hydrogen Infrastructure): Maintaining and troubleshooting Plug Power hydrogen infrastructure at customer sites with an accent on electro-mechanical systems, industrial gas equipment, and high-pressure storage and fueling systems. Focus on performing remote diagnostics, specialized tank and vacuum jacket line repairs, customer and technician training, and enforcing field safety procedures.

Location: Budapest, Hungary; onsite, full-time role with up to 100% travel required

What you will do

  • Survey, maintain, service, and troubleshoot hydrogen infrastructure at customer sites.
  • Support compression stations, electrolyzers, tube trailers, storage, delivery, and fueling systems.
  • Perform remote diagnostics and provide troubleshooting direction to customer service personnel.
  • Carry out specialized procedures, including liquid tank repairs and vacuum jacket line repairs.
  • Train and supervise regional service specialists and provide customer training on H2 systems.
  • Document field activities, communicate maintenance issues to management, and enforce safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of transferable field service experience or a time-served electrical/mechanical apprenticeship may substitute for the degree.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to interpret wiring and piping diagrams and work with industrial gas and high-pressure systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to travel as needed, up to 100%.

Nice to have

  • Leadership experience in training and developing technical employees.
  • Experience with laboratory testing, field readiness demonstrations, or trade show support.
