Accounting Clerk

Location: Providence, Rhode Island, United States; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Support financial and accounting operations involving general ledger and sub-ledger systems.
• Use Excel to analyze and manage accounting information.
• Partner with business stakeholders to resolve financial and accounting issues.
• Research general ledger activity and support financial reconciliations.
• Document financial processes and participate in projects with guidance from the project lead.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in the financial or accounting industry.
• Intermediate Excel knowledge and interest in advancing Excel skills.
• Comfort working with complex financial products, including general ledger and sub-ledger systems.
• Experience with business partnering and issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly with limited supervision.

Nice to have

• BS or BA degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience with SAP/eLedger or Oracle GL.
• Experience reconciling general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers or bank statements.
• Experience documenting financial processes and solving accounting problems.
