Senior Manager, Security Engineering and Operations (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote/home-based in the United States, with flexibility to work in the US/EST or US/PST time zones. After-hours and on-call support may be required.

Base salary: $146,400–$219,600 annually for US-based candidates, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Plan, design, implement, operate, and support new and existing information security technologies.
• Lead security technology deployments, upgrades, and program enhancements while maintaining detailed engineering and operations documentation.
• Monitor security events, investigate anomalous activity and incidents, and perform threat, vulnerability, forensic, and attack-vector analysis.
• Improve security posture across endpoints, networks, applications, servers, and cloud environments.
• Drive automation and orchestration for security monitoring and incident response processes.
• Advise IT and business stakeholders on secure solution design, development, implementation, and testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security operations, orchestration, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Gurucul, including log analysis, alert correlation, dashboards, data ingestion, optimization, and lifecycle support.
• Experience with incident investigations, forensic analysis, MITRE ATT&CK, endpoint detection and response, and common attack techniques.
• Hands-on expertise in at least two areas including cloud security, identity and access management, network security, email security, or DLP.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, SaaS and cloud environments, and security scripting or orchestration using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix artifacts, GDPR, PII, PHI, GxP, security and compliance standards, vendor management, and security leadership through collaboration.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of relevant IT security experience.
• Two or more certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GCIH, GPEN, or GWAPT.
• Expertise in AWS security, Azure, web proxies, IAM/SSO, Active Directory, network security, PAM, application control, endpoint security, DLP, PKI, key management, Salesforce Shield, and security automation.
