Senior SIEM Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote

Annual salary: $155,000–$175,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Engineer, sustain, and continuously improve enterprise cybersecurity monitoring platforms.
• Monitor the health of log data pipelines, SIEM platforms, infrastructure, and data feeds.
• Ensure security data is available, parsed, and normalized for threat detection and investigation.
• Research and implement scalable SIEM and data pipeline upgrades and enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security operations teams across hirify.global and its operating companies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience deploying, administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise log data pipelines and SIEM solutions.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SIEM and security operations platforms such as CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto XSIAM, Google SecOps, Humio, or Elastic.
• Experience with log data pipeline platforms such as Cribl, Databahn, Bindplane, or Vector.
• Experience developing cloud solutions and integrations across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills, including operating procedures, logical flow diagrams, and formal reports.
• Remote work is available from the USA.

Nice to have

• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Infrastructure as Code or scripted deployment automation experience.
• Regular expressions and parsing experience.
• Experience administering applications on Linux or UNIX systems.
