Healthcare Consulting Manager - Inpatient CDI (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States, with the role based in Chicago and requiring travel as needed; current average travel is less than 50% annually

Base salary: $145,000–$200,000 annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $166,750–$250,000.

What you will do

• Manage complex, multi-workstream healthcare consulting projects.
• Oversee, train, supervise, and provide feedback to junior team members.
• Analyze data to implement performance improvement and organizational change.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to align work with business objectives.
• Communicate with project teams and stakeholders across complex healthcare organizations.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Nursing and CCDS certification required.
• At least 5 years of acute care hospital experience, including ICU, Med/Surg, and ER.
• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical documentation integrity role.
• Experience in project-based operations performance improvement within a hospital, clinical setting, or healthcare consulting environment.
• At least 1 year of experience managing major projects for large, complex healthcare organizations with multiple stakeholders.
• US work authorization required; ability to travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is essential.
