TL;DR
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Aerospace): Performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, alterations, troubleshooting, run-up and taxi procedures, and mechanical flight releases for commercial aircraft with an accent on FAA compliance, airworthiness, and accurate maintenance documentation. Focus on maintaining A&P certification, resolving aircraft discrepancies, inspecting components, and supporting safe ramp and hangar operations.

Location: Bradley International Airport, Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $30.50–$37.00 per hour based on years of experience, plus a $2.00 night shift differential, an $800 monthly stipend, and a $10,000 cash bonus after a 12-month commitment.

hirify.global is a growing airline operating commercial aircraft and maintaining aircraft at multiple US maintenance bases.

What you will do

  • Perform aircraft maintenance, preventative maintenance, alterations, troubleshooting, and inspections in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual and FAA regulations.
  • Conduct run-up and taxi procedures and sign mechanical flight releases.
  • Complete maintenance forms, task cards, discrepancy records, corrective-action documentation, and other required records accurately.
  • Handle aircraft parts, assemblies, tooling, and equipment while maintaining a safe, clean, and operational work area.
  • Report conditions that could compromise aircraft airworthiness and collaborate with supervisors, maintenance control, and other departments.
  • Maintain required certificates, safety standards, performance measures, and Breeze aviation values.

Requirements

  • Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or Repairman Certificate required.
  • Recent experience with commercial aircraft, ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • US work authorization required; a valid passport without travel restrictions and a valid driver's license are also required.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Availability for day, night, weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts; willingness to travel 20% of the time.
  • Must pass DOT drug testing, TSA fingerprint-based criminal history screening, a Breeze background check, and obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and FAR Part 121 operations.
  • Experience with Embraer E-Jet or Airbus A220 aircraft.
  • Experience with airline Maintenance Information Systems such as TRAX.
  • Degree in aerospace, aviation maintenance, or business.
  • Microsoft Office skills and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
