Associate Attorney - Remote- Texas

Location: Remote within Texas, United States, with CST working hours

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonus and/or equity programs.

What you will do

• Litigate consumer-account cases in state courts where licensed to practice.
• Prepare and file pleadings, legal documents, discovery materials, and case strategies.
• Represent the company at scheduling conferences, mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collect and analyze facts and evidence, make legal arguments, and work with defendants, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Active membership in the Texas bar.
• At least 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent experience.
• Prior litigation experience drafting pleadings, participating in all phases of discovery, and handling trials.
• Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth-in-Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and related consumer-credit laws and regulations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
