Staff Engineer / Manager - Plastic Process Industrialization (Injection Molding)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; hybrid working arrangement with production-site responsibilities

What you will do

• Define success criteria and core requirements for automation solutions in plastic molding and industrialization.
• Lead process engineering and equipment projects involving molds, molding tools, extrusion, and injection molding machines.
• Develop project concepts, feasibility studies, user requirements specifications, and functional specifications.
• Apply global quality requirements and operating procedures while improving manufacturing quality and production yield.
• Collaborate with R&D on product development and design for manufacturability, and work with engineering, quality, supply chain, and procurement teams.
• For senior responsibilities, develop training concepts and coach junior project managers and employees.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in injection molding.
• Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes and related equipment.
• Experience leading and supporting multiple mold and injection molding machine projects.
• Experience in medical device sterilization, process development, and validation, including at least five relevant experiences.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
• Experience with process improvement, automation technologies, Industry 4.0, and digital manufacturing.
