Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering (Process) (Injection Molding)

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and maintain injection molding processes using scientific molding principles.
• Advise process engineers and technicians on optimal molding conditions and troubleshoot production issues.
• Establish SPC controls, review capability studies, document tools and materials, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate sampling and validation of new tools, materials, molds, and process changes.
• Improve process flow through LEAN optimization, support automation integration, and contribute to cost reduction.
• Provide technical training, respond to customer complaints, and ensure compliance with quality, ISO, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer, Materials, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in injection molding process engineering.
• Proficiency in scientific molding, Scientific Injection Molding, and SPC.
• Expertise in plastic injection molding automation solutions, tooling development, and tooling modifications.
• Experience with project management, AI/ML incorporation in manufacturing practices, and conventional MES systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to teach and implement Design of Experiments.
