Fullstack Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid, based in Arvada, Colorado, United States

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications for satellite operations workflows.
• Develop mission-specific software for U.S. government customers and contribute to the core product platform.
• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot AWS-based services, distributed systems, databases, caching, and event-driven architectures.
• Work across backend and frontend systems using Python, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and modern application frameworks.
• Build containerized and serverless architectures with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve software scalability, security, cost efficiency, performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability while troubleshooting production issues.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development, full-stack engineering, DevOps, or related software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience building production backend services.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, version control, APIs, distributed systems, databases, and multi-tier architectures.
• Strong debugging, technical analysis, communication, independent execution, and software quality skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building React components in TypeScript.
• Experience with Next.js, Refine, Vite, GitHub Actions, and additional AWS or Kubernetes services.
• Experience in satellite operations, aerospace, defense, or government software.
• Evidence of self-directed technical ownership, including building or significantly improving a product outside a traditional professional role.
