Associate Attorney

Location: US - OH - Teleworker. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year, plus possible performance-based bonus or equity programs.

What you will do

• Represent hirify.global and its affiliates in consumer-account litigation before state courts where licensed.
• Prepare and file pleadings, legal documents, discovery materials, and case-management records.
• Collect facts and evidence, develop litigation strategies, and make arguments involving defendants, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Represent the Company at scheduling conferences, mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Active Ohio bar membership required.
• At least 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Prior litigation experience drafting pleadings, participating in all phases of discovery, and handling trials.
• Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth-in-Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and related consumer-credit laws.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, organization, analytical, and time-management skills.
