Senior Accountant (Insurance)

What you will do

• Prepare, review, reconcile, and analyze monthly financial statements and results for Finance leadership.
• Manage month-end processes, including revenue reporting and 606-basis conversion for broker-dealer reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations, month-end close activities, and first-level reviews.
• Support the Controller with supervision of accounting processes and provide leadership and development support to the accounting team.
• Lead the annual financial statement audit and controls-based attestation engagement for the broker-dealer.
• Identify and implement process improvements while supporting financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Advanced accounting knowledge, including US GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
• Detail orientation, collaboration, strong communication, critical thinking, and excellent time management.
