Accountant III, IFRS (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week at the St. Louis Corporate Office in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.

Salary: $78,000–$100,500 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Prepare IFRS journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and consolidated reports.
• Perform internal controls and support quarterly and annual financial filings.
• Research emerging accounting standards and document accounting policies.
• Recommend process improvements and strengthen financial reporting and control processes.
• Collaborate with internal accounting teams, external consultants, Reliance Standard Life, Delphi Financial Group, and Tokio Marine.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 2 years of insurance industry or relevant accounting experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Ability to research accounting guidance and document accounting policies.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• CPA designation.
• Experience with IFRS reporting.
• Experience identifying process improvements and enhancing accounting controls.
