Software Engineer - HPC Linux (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

What you will do

• Support HPC users and technical staff with modeling and simulation workflows across heterogeneous, multi-platform systems.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based software, existing code bases, and distributed applications.
• Collaborate with technical support teams, scientists, customers, and site staff to resolve technical issues and improve user effectiveness.
• Contribute to requirements, design, coding, documentation, testing, and maintenance across the software lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and scientists and lead code reviews.
• Create training materials, tutorials, workshops, and onboarding content for HPC users and internal staff.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline and 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Approximately 5 years of experience developing and using modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments.
• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++, Bash, Korn shell scripting, and Linux troubleshooting.
• Experience with HPC environments, scalable distributed applications, coding standards, unit testing, configuration management, and maintaining existing code bases.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or scientists, leading code reviews, delivering training, and communicating with technical teams and customer stakeholders.
