Principal Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week

Salary: $256,000–$320,000 starting base salary, plus equity and additional compensation components.

What you will do

• Set technical direction for the Security & Privacy organization through hands-on delivery across multiple security domains.
• Design, build, and ship agentic platforms, agents, skills, and tooling for application security, infrastructure security, identity, privacy, governance, and risk.
• Deliver production security features and controls at a rapid pace, replacing manual work with trusted automation.
• Advise engineering leaders and executives on secure software design and security risk decisions.
• Develop engineers across job families by promoting AI, coding, and emerging technology in security work.

Requirements

• Deep software engineering experience building, operating, and leading major production services at scale.
• Hands-on experience delivering production or open-source software through agentic development.
• Experience building security controls and automations with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Python, and Golang.
• Broad security expertise, especially in security engineering, AI, and application security, with command of cloud security, infrastructure security, identity and access management, cryptography, and data protection.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, and security automation.
• Experience mentoring engineers, advising senior leaders, and communicating complex security decisions clearly.
