Safety Intern (Construction)

What you will do

• Monitor construction project sites and analyze the safety performance of work performed.
• Conduct inspections of construction areas and identify hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions.
• Document hazards, recommend corrective measures, and confirm that corrections are completed.
• Investigate property damage and personal injury accidents, including collecting photographs, forms, reports, and employee interviews.
• Assist with employee and insurance inspections, emergency rescues, fire protection, and grounding systems.
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling to help ensure safe working conditions.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a safety-related major.
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Safety certifications such as OSHA, Fall Protection, Silica, or Scaffold Awareness are advantageous.
